Audio cassette, micro cassette, MiniDisc and LP vinyl are transferred at the same tiered price as video tape, and they count towards the same order total.
Worth knowing before you order
Audio counts as items in the same order as your tapes. Five VHS tapes on their own are $30 each. Add one audio cassette and you are at six items, so all six drop to $20 each, the cassette effectively pays for itself.
Micro cassettes are the small ones from dictaphones and answering machines. They come in more often than you would expect, usually because someone has found a recording of a voice they had not heard in years.
Reel-to-reel audio tape is priced separately at a flat $35 per reel, whatever the size of the reel. It sits outside the tiered pricing because the transfer runs in real time and needs different equipment.
Open reel tape turns up in all sorts of places — band practices, church services, radio recordings, family tapes made before cassettes existed. If you have reels and no way to play them, that is normal. Almost nobody still owns a machine.
What we will not copy
We only transfer material you own or have the right to copy. Commercial albums, released music and copyright recordings are not copied, whatever format they arrive on. If commercial material arrives in an order we will not transfer it, and it comes back to you.
Standard digital audio files you can keep, back up and play anywhere — on your phone, your computer, or a smart speaker. Your original cassettes, discs and reels are returned to you either way.
Some improvement to sound quality is often possible, but it depends heavily on the condition of the original recording. We will tell you honestly what to expect rather than promise a result.
Cassette, micro cassette, MiniDisc and vinyl share the tape tier. Reel-to-reel is priced individually. GST included.

Yes. Audio cassette, micro cassette, MiniDisc and vinyl all count as items in the same order, so a mixed order of six or more reaches the best rate on everything in it. Reel-to-reel audio is the exception, at a flat $35 per reel.
Reel-to-reel transfers run in real time and need different equipment, so it sits outside the tiered pricing at a flat $35 per reel regardless of reel size.
