All prices include GST. You are invoiced at the end, for the items we actually converted, not for what you send in.

Video Tape, Audio and Discs

Covers VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV, DVCAM, DVD, audio cassette, micro cassette, MiniDisc and LP vinyl. A unit is one item regardless of its length — a three hour tape costs the same as a thirty minute one. The rate is set by your whole order, not by format. Two VHS tapes and three DVDs is five items, so all five are charged at $30. All prices include GST.

8mm and Super 8. Measured across the widest point of the spool, not by the length of the film. Film is counted separately from the tape tier. All prices include GST.

Reel-to-Reel Audio

Reel-to-reel audio tape is priced individually because the transfer runs in real time and needs different equipment. It is not part of the tape tier, and the price is the same whatever the size of the reel. All prices include GST.

Slides, Negatives and Photos

Slides, negatives and printed photos, scanned, cleaned and cropped. Counted on their own scale — sending slides does not change the rate on your tapes, and sending tapes does not change the rate on your slides. All prices include GST.

Return courier is a flat $20 wherever you are, rural addresses included. Google Drive links stay live for six months, so please make your own backup. All prices include GST.

Before you order

Blank and unrecoverable items are not charged. If a tape turns out to be empty, or we cannot get anything usable off it, it does not appear on your invoice at all.
You pay at the end, not at the start. The total you see when you order is an estimate based on the quantities you give us. The invoice is raised after the work is done and quality checked.
An estimate is fine. You do not need to count exactly. We count what arrives and invoice on that.
Sending your media to us is your cost. You book and pay for the courier in, or drop off in person in Whenuapai by appointment.
Working to a deadline? A faster turnaround can sometimes be arranged for a surcharge. Tell us your date before you send anything and we will confirm what is possible.
